The Threshold: A Study of Space and Perception

Created in response to the studio prompt “Threshold,” this installation explores the threshold as both a boundary and a connector, a moment of transition where perception is altered and reality becomes uncertain. Using photography, lighting, and an anamorphic projection created manually without mapping software, the work distorts space to create an “in-between” condition where the projected image becomes indistinguishable from reality. In this state, spatial boundaries dissolve, and viewers encounter a fluid, permeable reality that shifts between what is seen and what is imagined.
